Embarking on the adventure to Ama Dablam begins with an exhilarating 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Upon arrival in Lukla, you'll set out on a trek to Phakding (2,650m), navigating through the lush forests of Sagarmatha National Park. Your first major stop is Namche Bazaar (3,440m), a vibrant hub that caters to trekkers, brimming with cafes and shops where you can acclimatize and immerse yourself in the local culture.

From Namche, the journey leads to Deboche, where you'll pass the renowned Tengboche Monastery, before continuing onward to Dingboche (4,360m). Here, you'll have the opportunity to experience the rich local culture and the breathtaking landscape.

Next, you will trek to Chhukung (4,730m) for further acclimatization, taking in stunning views of the surrounding mountains. An optional hike to Chukung Ri offers even more spectacular vistas of neighboring peaks, sure to leave you in awe.

Continuing your trek, youll cross the challenging Kongma La Pass (5,535m), where the reward for your efforts comes in the form of breathtaking scenery. The trail then leads you to Pangboche (3,985m), where the terrain eases, allowing for a more leisurely trek.Finally, you will arrive at Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,600m), where you can revel in panoramic views of iconic peaks, including Mt. Lhotse and the majestic Ama Dablam. This adventure promises to be an unforgettable experience, filled with stunning landscapes and rich cultural encounters.

Trip Itinerary

You have arrived in the vibrant capital city of the Himalayan kingdom. Upon landing, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel, where your adventure truly begins. After checking in at Hotel, the group will be formally introduced to your guide, who will provide an outline of the activities planned for the coming days. It’s essential to pay close attention during this briefing, especially regarding safety protocols. If you have any questions or uncertainties, please feel free to ask for clarification at this time.


Additionally, we will review your insurance details and ensure that all necessary requirements for your trekking journey are in order. Get ready for an incredible experience in Nepal.

Overnight in Hotel at Kathmandu.

During peak trekking seasons (March, April, May, September, October, and November), flights may be rerouted to Manthali due to congestion. In these cases, travelers will be picked up at around 12:30 AM for a five-hour drive, followed by a 20-minute flight tocLukla. Of-f-peak months allow for a direct 40-minute flight from Kathmandu.


For those wishing to avoid the Manthali drive, helicopter transfers are available at an additional cost of around $350 per person (for groups of five).


The trek to Everest Base Camp begins on the first day, leading from Lukla through Chaurikharka village to Dudhkoshi Ghat before arriving at Phakding. This initial trek is easy and allows for altitude acclimatization and visits to local monasteries like Rimishung Monastery in preparation for more challenging hikes ahead.

On this day, you'll start by trekking along the northern bank of the Dudh Koshi River, taking in stunning views and crossing several suspension bridges, including the Hillary Suspension Bridge. Along the way, you'll reach the Sagarmatha National Park to check post to register your permits. As you ascend through dense forests, you'll be rewarded with your first views of Mt. Everest. The trek culminates at Namche Bazaar, known as the gateway to Everest.

The trek to Deboche offers an exhilarating adventure characterized by a series of challenging ups and downs along the trail. As you walk, you'll be captivated by the breathtaking views of the Himalayas, with the chance to encounter unique high-altitude wildlife, making the journey feel both vibrant and effortless.As you near Phunki Tenga, prepare to be awed by stunning mountain panoramas, including the mighty Everest (8,848m), the iconic Ama Dablam (6,812m), and the impressive peaks of Lhotse (8,516m), Nuptse (7,861m), and Thamserku (6,623m).

The route will lead you past the revered Tengboche Monastery, affectionately known as the &quot;Monastery on the Top of the Hill.&quot; This is the largest Gompa in the Khumbu region, and you'll have a chance to pause, relax, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere before continuing on your way to Deboche.

Today’s trek from Deboche to Dingboche takes us through charming villages, including Pangboche, while offering stunning views of the Himalayas and Ama Dablam. As we enter the Imja Valley, the terrain becomes gentler as we follow the Lobuche River, leading to a steep ascent to Dingboche (4,360m). Known as the Summer Valley of Khumbu, Dingboche features stone-enclosed fields for crops like barley and potatoes. This breathtaking location, surrounded by majestic mountains, is a memorable highlight of our adventure.

Our day begins early as the sun graciously rises behind the mountains, unveiling the stunning beauty of the landscape around us. A brief ascent from Dingboche gifts us with breathtaking views of the entire valley. While the trail presents some challenges, it remains manageable.As we make our way to Chhukung, we pass several Buddhist stupas adorned with vibrant prayer flags. Starting our trek early allows us to witness a spectacular scene, with the sun casting a warm, golden halo around the stupas and flags. Maintaining a comfortable pace, we will reach Chhukung in due time, fully immersed in the beauty of our surroundings.

Chhukung village is a natural wonder, and an ideal acclimatization stop for Everest Base Camp trekkers. Start our early trek to cross the challenging Kongma La Pass (5,535m), often blanketed in snow. As we depart from Chhukung, we navigate a small stream and a steep landslide trail, enjoying stunning views of Dingboche and Tengboche along the way.

Approaching Kongma La Pass, the scenery becomes breathtaking; one side reveals Kongma La Lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks, while the other showcases Lobuche Village and the Khumbu Glacier. After climbing the moraine, we trek for about an hour along the glacier to reach Lobuche. Here, the enchanting views of Kala Patthar and Mount Everest at sunset make the day's challenges worthwhile, transforming our efforts into sheer awe.

Today marks the culmination of our incredible adventure as we embark on our final day on the trails, journeying from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. This picturesque trek winds through charming villages and lush forests, featuring thrilling suspension bridges that heighten the sense of adventure.As we make our way forward, we'll pass through the quaint village of Benkar before continuing on to Phakding. Our stop here will be brief, as we’re eager to reach Toktok, where the views are exceptionally unique and captivating. It’s the perfect opportunity to pause and soak in the breathtaking scenery before pressing onward.

After a truly memorable adventure, today marks your return to Lukla for your flight back to either Manthali or Kathmandu, depending on the trekking season. If your trek took place during the peak months of March, April, May, September, October, or November, you’ll board a plane to Manthali, followed by a scenic five-hour drive to Kathmandu.

Conversely, if you trekked during the off-peak months of December, January, February, June, July, or August, you will enjoy a direct flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
