I would like to express my gratitude to Kerin, who was my go to person. Everything I needed he fixed, he picked me up from KATMANDU airport at 11.30pm and transported me to my accommodation in Themal. He organised everyone for me nothing was a problem for him. During my 16 days touring the easter side of Nepal up to the Indian border including the internal flight back to KATMANDU was wonderful and very professional. At short notice I asked him to organise a flight over the Himalaya mountains with a promise that if the mountains were clouded over I would get my money back. What a wonderful flight it was. Nothing was a problem for him or his company. Thus was my 5th trip to Nepal 🇳🇵 and I will be back again next
Had a great experience of mountain flight to Everest. Great Karhmandu city touring and Mardi Himal trekking . Very well managed. All the staff were very positive and responsive. Once again thank you Holiday Treks and Expedition Pvt Ltd team for fulfilling one of my bucket lists.
Absolutely. While trekking offers a traditional experience, the Everest Base Camp helicopter tour provides a breathtaking aerial perspective of the Himalayas that is impossible to get on foot. Perfect for travelers with limited time or physical constraints, this luxurious day trip lets you fly over Everest Base Camp, icefalls, glaciers, and land at the world’s highest hotel for an unforgettable adventure.
The total helicopter flight time from Kathmandu and back is approximately 3–4 hours. This includes the scenic flight to Lukla, the journey to Kala Patthar and Everest Base Camp, the breakfast stop at Everest View Hotel, and the return flight. The tour is designed to be comprehensive, safe, and comfortable.
The helicopter reaches altitudes up to 5,644 meters (Kala Patthar landing). Time spent at this height is brief (10–15 minutes), which minimizes the risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Longer stops, like Everest View Hotel at 3,880m, are more manageable. Staying hydrated and moving slowly while on landings further reduces altitude-related discomfort.
Early mornings are ideal. Flights typically depart between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM, when skies are clearest and winds are calm. Spring (March–May) and Autumn (September–November) provide optimal visibility for panoramic Himalayan views, ensuring the best conditions for photography and sightseeing.
Helicopters like the AS350 B3e (H125) "Ecureuil" accommodate up to 5 passengers plus the pilot. Every passenger is guaranteed a window seat for optimal views and photography. Private charters are also available for groups seeking an exclusive experience.
Himalayan flights are highly weather-dependent. If conditions are unsafe, the tour will be postponed or rescheduled. If rescheduling isn’t possible, you receive a 100% full refund, ensuring financial protection and peace of mind.
Even in warm seasons, high altitudes are cold. Recommended attire:
Clothing: Warm down jacket, hat, gloves, sunglasses
Footwear: Comfortable, sturdy shoes (no trekking needed)
Essentials: Passport/ID, camera, extra batteries, sunscreen, water bottle
